Tulip Fields and Hyacinths in 2025: The Early Flower Tour of the Netherlands

Tulip Season 2025 Begins at the End of March

Spring will soon arrive in the Netherlands, just 70 days away! We are excited to announce that our tours will start earlier this year, beginning on March 28th. While the Netherlands is famous for its tulips, it also features fields of colorful hyacinths and daffodils. Did you know that hyacinths can be blue? Unfortunately, tulips do not come in blue! If you're visiting from the end of March to mid-April and want to see these vibrant fields, join us for a special tour showcasing the stunning blooms.

What will you remember most from this early tour? I can already imagine you saying, "The wonderful fragrance of the flowers," when we return to Amsterdam. The scent of the hyacinths is truly indescribable. The colors you can expect to see include pink, blue, and white, which are the most popular hues of this flower.

What else will we visit that day? What’s your favorite color? If I ask what color a daffodil is, anyone familiar with flowers would undoubtedly say "yellow." These beautiful yellow fields will be part of our journey, and we’ll make sure to stop and admire one of them.

To wrap up the day, we’ll visit the historic windmills that have stood since 1662. It’s incredible to see how engineers of that time designed and built these colossal structures, allowing them to create new land and manage water effectively.

When Do the Tulip Fields Bloom?

The tulip fields typically begin to bloom in early April, around the 10th. However, this can vary depending on the weather. If we experience a warm winter, the flowers may bloom earlier. Conversely, if March is colder, we might have to wait until late April, around the 20th, for the first tulips to appear.

But don’t worry! As soon as the first tulips bloom, we will include them in our Early Flower Tour. If the tulips bloom during the first week of April, we will definitely visit them on this tour.
