Experience a day in the life of a tulip company

Discover the inner workings of tulip farming and witness the creation of these stunning tulip fields.

As a tulip farmer, an individual is responsible for growing and cultivating tulip flowers. This may include tasks such as:

  1. Preparing the soil: Before planting, the farmer may need to till the soil and add fertilizers or other amendments to ensure that it is suitable for growing tulips.
  2. Planting bulbs: Tulip bulbs are typically planted in the fall, about 6-8 weeks before the first frost. The farmer will need to carefully place the bulbs in the ground at the appropriate depth and spacing.
  3. Watering and fertilizing: Tulips need regular watering and fertilizing to grow and thrive. The farmer will need to monitor the soil moisture and apply water and fertilizer as needed.
  4. Weeding: Tulip fields can be prone to weed growth, so the farmer may need to regularly pull weeds or use herbicides to control them.
  5. Pest control: Pests such as aphids and slugs can damage tulip plants, so the farmer may need to use pesticides or other methods to control them.
  6. Harvesting: When the tulips are in full bloom, the farmer will need to carefully cut the flowers and pack them for sale.

Overall, the job of a tulip farmer involves a lot of hard work and attention to detail, but it can be rewarding to see the beautiful flowers grow and thrive.

Fantastic Tour!

Amazing day visiting the tulip fields and windmill. From start to finish the tour was well organized and coordinated. Our guide was very knowledgeable and professional. Even though we didn’t have the sun the tour was not affected in any way so don’t let the bad weather bother you. The lunch was also fantastic! A great experience, thank you!

Since my teenage I dreamed about tulip field and finally it’s comes true perfectly with this team. Such a wonderful team. Special mention to your guide Roel. He is a very sweet and friendly guy. Every single penny was worth it. Visited many different colorful fields and a windmill. And our package included lunch in a classy Dutch pub. Best ever spring holiday I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this team for anyone dreaming about tulips. I’ve enjoyed it a lot. Thanks to the whole team members

Excellent day spent in the country with a very pleasant guide. Well worth the cost. We would not have seen anything outside Amsterdam if not for this trip. It gave us perspective on the history and the geography of Holland as a country. Entertaining and informative.

Do it!

My friend and I only had a few days in the city, and we are so glad we did this!! The tour guides were so fun and knowledgeable, the flowers were beautiful, and lunch was so good at a cute little restaurant. This could not have been a better experience! Thanks Roel and Mike!

Tulip fields experience in April

Visiting tulip fields - all those beautiful flowers - were really something special. Especially, if you are aware that this is possibility to see once a year - only in the short period in April. I would stand there in front of the flowers for hours.

A Once-In-A-Lifetime Experience

Mike was a fantastic tour guide. The tour went above and beyond our expectations! My husband and I were disappointed after visiting Keukenhof - too many people and you can’t even get close to the tulip fields. We found this small-group tour after visiting Keukenhof, but it was booked on the day we wanted to go. We contacted Mike and he graciously offered us a private tour. He was extremely kind and took us inside several tulip farms in North Holland (a much shorter drive from Amsterdam than Keukenhof), and also gave a tour of an old windmill that is still in use. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We highly recommend this tour!!

Take the Tour!

The tour provided a few stops including the windmills, Dutch shoe museum, cheese museum, a trip to Edam. It was a busy day with so much to see. The bus was very comfortable with charging for the phones on the roof of the bus. I cannot remember the tour guide's name, or the driver. The trip was worth taking and I would recommend it; I wish we had gone during the tulip blooming.
