Together, these are often referred to as "the tulip festival" — but in reality, it's an entire season of experiences spread across different regions.

Bloemencorso – The Flower Parade
April 18, 2026 | Noordwijk → Sassenheim → Lisse → Hillegom → Bennebroek → Haarlem | Free to watch
The Bloemencorso Bollenstreek is the most famous flower parade in the Netherlands, and one of the largest in the world. Every year in mid-April, enormous floats decorated entirely with fresh flowers travel a 40-kilometer route from the coastal town of Noordwijk all the way to Haarlem, passing through the heart of the tulip-growing region.
The parade travels during the day, allowing spectators to watch from the roadside at various points along the route. The floats arrive in Haarlem in the evening, where they are illuminated and on display in the city centre for the following two days as the Parade Expo.
Watching the parade from the roadside is free. Grandstand seats in Sassenheim can be booked separately for a closer view.
